You know summer has unofficially started with word that two famous festivals are happening this weekend: Both the famous, annual CHIN Picnic and the Taste of Little Italy – considered World Cup Central – are set to take place on College St. June 15 to 17. Taste of Little Italy is a chance to indulge in plenty of live music, great food, dancing in the streets and, of course – soccer! (Check out Tolittleitaly.com; @tolittleitaly for more details.)
As well, the famous CHIN Picnic is set to take place starting June 15 for three solid days of partying between Bathurst St., and Shaw. This will be the 52nd annual picnic – admission is free – and there will be stages set up and famous musicians straight from Italy serenading the crowds (look for Sandro Giacobbe direct from Italy for June 17!). The CHIN Picnic has been part of our city’s national identity for years – it’s a wonderful time to get together with family and friends, get a chance to make new friends and share the CHIN Picnic experience. And it’s free!
