Motorcyclist killed in hit-and-run in Scarborough

The hunt is on for a hit-and-run driver after a 71-year-old man on a motorcycle was struck and killed in Scarborough on Friday night.

Toronto Police say the victim was riding a motorcycle west on Brimorton Dr. when he was hit by a man driving a black Dodge Challenger north on Bellamy Rd. around 9 p.m.

Police say the motorcyclist was pronounced dead on the scene.

And the driver of the Challenger fled the scene on foot.

The driver of the Dodge Challenger, meanwhile, fled the scene on foot.

Police later identified Marc Laurin as a suspect in the deadly hit-and-run.

The Toronto man is wanted for being unlawfully at large, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death and failure to stop after a collision.

The suspect is believed to be “violent and dangerous,”

Laurin is about 5-foot-10, 160 lbs. with a medium build, short black hair and an unshaven face. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, dark pants and a dark blazer.
