Three killed in Brampton crash

Children are among the dead after a horrific crash on the border of Brampton and Vaughan.

Two children — a seven-year-old boy and a 12-year-old girl — and a woman, 47, were killed in the 9 p.m. accident on Saturday at Hwy. 50 and Countryside Dr. All e are Woodbridge residents.

Another child, a man, 45, and a woman, 39, were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. They are in stable condition.

An SUV and a Corvette were involved in the collision.  The 47-year-old woman died at the scene while the two kids were pulled from the wreckage without vital signs and were rushed to hospital. They were pronounced dead shortly thereafter.

Police were working Sunday to establish the cause of the tragic crash. Peel Regional Police Const. Irene Yashnyk has told CP 24 that alcohol could likely be ruled out as a factor.
