EVENTUALLY THEY ALL GET A PASS

The recent transfers of Elizabeth Wettlaufer and Terri-Lynne McClintic were done for one reason and one reason only: They are going to be released. Maybe not next week or next year, but at some point it will happen. If you doubt it, look no further that the unescorted absences granted to Craig Munro, killer of Const. Michael Sweet in 1980.

(McClintic has been less than a stellar inmate, she would have been behind bars a long time which is where she belongs)

TRUDEAU THE CLOWN

In regards to the letter apologizing for President Trump (“So very sorry,” Oct. 6), it’s sad that a citizen would apologize for a president who put his country first. We have a prime minister who pays off terrorists, dresses like a clown on the world stage (therefore embarrassing his country), allowing illegals to walk in through open fields (whereas Mr. Trump is trying to secure southern borders), uses tax money to purchase a pipeline that he has no intention of completing, and the list could go on. Mr. Trudeau has no respect for Canadians or his country, as is quite apparent. As for poor education, President Trump has done well in rectifying the world concerns, whereas our so-called educated prime minister has failed.

Mary Cameron Ottawa

(The question is will enough Canadians have figured that out before the next election)

HEY US, LET’S SWAP

Re “So very sorry” (Letters to the Editor, Oct. 6): If the letter writer is so embarrassed by his president, let me extend an offer. We will swap him, even up, one old Trump for one nearly hardly ever used Trudeau.

Dave Dickie Toronto

(Doubt they would take the offer)

TIRED OF LIBERALS EVERYWHERE

It is easy to see that everyone is fed up with all Liberals. The provinces are voting them out. All of Trudeau’s big screw-ups, and he cannot take any responsibility for anything, he has to keep referring to Stephen Harper. Trudeau is one big disgrace, he tells his caucus how to vote and then runs. So all Canadians need to boot this Liberal party as the provinces have done.

(Here’s hoping)

WHAT’S GOING ON?

Re “School principal charged” (Joe Warmington, Oct. 5): So now we are charging with criminal assault teachers who are attempting to keep the peace against unruly and undisciplined children who are making themselves a compete nuisance in the schools where other children are trying to get an education? What is the message being sent here? The disruptive child concerned has now learned that there are simply no consequences to any kind of behaviour that he/she wishes to exhibit at any time and that teachers have no real authority to discipline bad actions. I feel very sorry for both the teaching profession and the child because this attitude is going to carry into the latter’s teen years and adult life when there will be consequences. I certainly hope that the ‘powers that be’ come to their senses before it is too late, and that this principal is both absolved of these silly charges and apologized to just for doing his job.

(It is absurd. We will have our eye on this one since the potential precedent it can set.)
