Dwayne Johnson and Gal Gadot’s international thriller . The latter was originally slated to hit theaters in November 2019, but was recently pushed back to June 5, 2020 – that is, almost exactly three years after the first Wonder Woman was released (on its way to becoming a critical/commercial success) and a week before Red Notice was previously slated to arrive. However, thanks to this move, Gadot will not longer have two movies competing quite so directly with one another in 2020.
At the same time, however, both Johnson and Gadot are simply appearing in too many films right now for there to not be any overlap between their projects at the box office. Case in point: Gadot is also working on Kenneth Branagh’s Murder on the Orient Express sequel, Death on the Nile, which will open three weeks before Red Notice arrives. Johnson, meanwhile, “only” has one other movie coming out in 2020 at the moment (namely, Jungle Cruise), but there’s a pretty good chance that will change between now and them, given how many other developing films he has in the pipeline right now.
Red Notice arrives in U.S. theaters on November 13, 2020.
